Aggregate

The aggregate and frac sand processing industries have made up a key component of Westpro’s business since the company’s inception in 1985. Westpro applies its expertise in comminution, solid scrubbing and dewatering to develop cost-effective and reliable process technology solutions custom-configured to the demands of the aggregate industry.

Construction aggregate, or simply "aggregate", is a broad category of coarse particulate material used in construction, including sand, gravel, crushed stone, slag, recycled concrete and geosynthetic aggregates. Aggregates are the most mined materials in the world. Aggregates are a component of composite materials that serves as reinforcement to add strength to the overall composite material. Aggregates are also widely used in drainage applications, and as a base material under foundations, roads, and railroads.
